After a removal, the stump stays unless you ask for it to be ground. Many people call this stump removal.

If you want the stump gone, ask us to include stump grinding in your estimate. Grinding takes the stump down below the surface. It does not dig out the whole root system.

The crew, the Orange Crew, called before they arrived and rang the doorbell when they arrived. They explained what they were going to do and then got busy. We watched through our window as they cut down the tree and disposed of the cut branches. They worked together very well and in about 10 minutes had the tree removed. They cleaned up the area very well, had us come out to see if we were satisfied (we were), and said their goodbyes. We couldn't be more satisfied with the Orange Crew's work.

Is stump grinding included in tree removal?

Not automatically. Stump grinding is an option. Ask for it and it will be listed in your estimate, so there are no surprises about what's left behind.

What happens to the wood, branches and chips?

Cleanup is part of the job. What gets hauled away, and whether you'd like to keep any wood or chips, is set out in your plan.

What affects the cost of tree removal?

The tree's size and condition, how easy it is to reach, what's around it, how much debris there is and whether you add stump grinding. Your estimate is based on your tree, after we've seen it.

How do I prepare for a tree removal?

Move vehicles, patio furniture and planters away from the work area, and make sure the crew can get through gates. Let us know about pets, sprinkler heads or anything fragile nearby. We'll go over access during the evaluation.

Do you handle permits or utility coordination?

On emergency jobs, we coordinate with utility companies when needed. For a planned removal near power lines, or in an HOA, ask us during the evaluation.
